Image: Monty verdi range rover
This is my Dads very Rare monteverdi Range Rover - One of the first 4 Door Range Rovers ever to be made. They were made as a 2 Door Vehicle at Land Rover in Solihull then shipped out to Switzerland and converted into a 4-door model. We suspect that this motor spent its first 2 years in Italy as a left hand drive and probably as a demonstrator! We believe there are less than 50 of these vehicles left on the roads!
Image: Matt's Rangey
Matt's Range Rover - Converted from a 3.5 to 3.9Efi. This Range Rover has seen numerous up-grades including a heated front windscreen, later interior, late classic roof with factory fitted sunroof, Rimmer stainless steel exhaust, Matt Lee Mach 5 wheels fitted with BFGoodridge Mud terrain tyres, Scorpion racing bumper with Warn 9.5ti winch and not forgetting the Macdonalds food and cup holder!
This Range Rover has now been replaced by the Range Rover below. The Range Rover is still in Matts hands although currently looks a little different - It has been robbed and broken for parts but will live to see another day, all be it in a different form... Matt is in negotiations and drawing up plans (plus emptying his piggy bank!) to transform this motor into a Rear engine 106" Tomcat off-road racer!

Image: Slim's Racer
Slim's Racer - Hand built from match sticks and toilet roll tubes. This bowler spec motor took simon over a year to build. 90 chassis, 3.5EFI engine, fiberglass pannels and internal MSA/RAC spec roll cage.
Image: Andy's Rangey
Andy's Range Rover - This rangey is the most standard amounst us (But thats slowley changing!!!)He used to have side steps fitted until his first play day with us. Andy has up-graded the suspension adding bilstien shock absorbers all round and fitting police spec springs. He has also fitted a Jan-speed stainless steel exhaust. This Range Rover came with deluxe Macdonnalds cup holders as standard!

Not something you see every day! My dad has always wanted to show them Monster Trucks!!!
Image:
Jo - This is my cousins TD5 Defender 90 with all the extras. Jo uses this motors every day and loves it. Dont get in her way though she don't stop for no-one!!!
Image:
Richard's (Dick Trickle) P38a 4.6 HSE - Who ever thought that these Range Rovers were made to pick the kids up from school were along way of the mark here. Richards not shy about getting his Range Rover off-road. This immaculate Motor gets Richard to and from work every day and then enjoys some action at the weekends.
Image:
Toms Disco - This is my cousins 300 TDI Disco. Top spec model with electric seats, air con and auto box. This discovery covers a lot of miles around Yorkshire. Look out for it because your daughter may be on board!
Image:
Mike's Racer - This Land Rover was bought some time ago as a restoration project so he could race with Simon and myself. The only competition as yet, (for the prize of a night of beer) is to get this motor to an event before Simon and myself retire! Should he get it to a race we may need to worry - Housed in the engine bay is a 4.6litre V8!
IMPORTANT UPDATE - Mike has owned this motor for numerous years and has now finally thrown the towel in and sold her on! The 'ICE MAIDEN' as it was named has been bought from Mike and living life on the open road. We now no longer have to fear the thought that his 4.6ltr racer was going to turn up at an event & kick ass. So going back to what was agreed in the first paragraph... Mike, dig deep into your pockets because you owe us a night of BEER!
Image:
Emmas Disco and 90 Emma is an old school friend that once had a go in a Land Rover... She has never looked back since and now owns 2 of her own!
Image:
Marks Series 1's - These are 2 of Marks collection of Solihulls finest! He has another series one and a Range Rover classic but they were not around when I had my camera handy! The 2 Land Rovers are 1956 (Soft top) and 1955 (Truck Cab) models. Mark has restored these into the excellent condition that they are today. These motors are not just showpieces ether; they earn their keep carrying heavy plant machinery amongst their other many tasks.
Image:
Jim's Hybrid series 1 - Built out of 2 range rover chassis! This motor has been built to make an ultimate off-road machine combining the power of a 3.5V8 with the supple range rover suspension and power steering, shortened wheelbase and a series one body that keeps everything tucked in out of harms way.

Recognise this motor? Steve now owns ENC 425T - He wanted a motor that stood out in a crowed and something that was an out right big boys toy! Now named "yellow peril" I think he got just what he wanted!
Yellow Peril has changed hands again (just a few times...) Lee bought the Range Rover from Steve who then bought it back again before selling it onto Mark. ( See below... )
Image:
Tom B's Disco - This is a top of the range Discovery fully loaded! Tom has had just one or two motors in the past... amongst the collection there has been a 5ltr TVR Chimera, VW Carrado VR6, TVR Tuscan S, Impreza, Evo 7, Range Rover Vogue, Porsche, ooh and a clapped out mini!
Image:
Dick and Andy's TDI 90. Fitted with 'FOX' competition shock absorbers this 90 is a wolf in sheeps clothing and gives the V8's a good run for their money.
Image:
Judi's Freelander - It was my Aunties Dream to have a baby Land rover and here it is... After buying the motor she got the chance to see how it handles off-road at the Coniston Hall Land rover Experience. She loved every minute of it and recommends anyone to have a go. She now travels to work via Fields Rivers and mountains making her day that bit more special!
Image:
Dave & Charlie's TD5 Discovery - It's only so long that you can know me and not own a Land Rover! Dave and Charlie have just bought this TD5 Discovery for Charlie's new career (Child minding) dont start thinking that this motor will only be used to go to school though... It will be used to travel Yorkshires green lanes to get them all to sleep and then the rest of the day can be spent polishing the Disco!
Image:
Mark's 90 - This 90 was bought with one purpose in mind... To go Off-road! Seen here doing his first Trial with the Yorkshire Off Road Club at Fellbeck. Mark has only had the Defender for a short time and yet the up-grades have started (Welcome to the world of LAND ROVER!)
Mark's Racer - Mark only had the 90 a short time before selling it... Shortly after selling the 90 with drawl symptoms set in & Mark found himself the owner of this Land Rover based hybrid off-road racer after a winning bid on eBay! It arrived at Marks door needing a lot of TLC and during the first season of owning it Mark has spent many of hours repairing it. It also now houses a 3.9ltr V8 after blowing up the original 3.5ltr engine!!!

After just 1 year racing Mark has decide to go through the change and race a diesel! He is now the proud owner of this 200TDI racer as featured in the March 2008 edition of Land Rover Monthly. How will Mark get on...? Who knows but he claims he will be showing the V8 boy's a thing or two! We will see....
Image: Craigs 90
Craig's 90 - This is no ordinary 90. Under the bonnet lives a 4.2ltr TVR V8 engine mated to a Range Rover auto box. The back Axel belonged to a Discovery in its former years giving the 90 Disc braking all round. It rides on air suspension using 'Endless air' (Engine driven compressor available from w.v.a.01274740381). There are too many subtle modifications that I cannot list them all here - If you see this motor at a Land Rover Show take a look for yourself! Craig has just won the 'Best Overall Land Rover' at the Driffield LRO Spring Show and if you think it looks familiar that is probable because you have seen it in Land Rover magazines advertising a Insurance Company!
Image: Richard's 90
Richards's 90 - The cleanest Defender around!!! This motor always looks this clean and he tells me that it's due to a quick sponge over once a week with fresh water... I think he has elves living in his garden that pop out on a night and polish it to this high standard! Even after a days green laning in the mud it only takes a day or two before it looks like this again.
Image: Range Rover DSE
Patsy's Range Rover (my other Aunty!)- What does the countrys Top dog breeder of all breeds drive? A Range Rover of course! (Well it is a pedigree). This is a top of the range model with all the added toys thrown in. The number plate 'CBK' stands for Carlton Boarding Kennels, the family run business when she's not travelling all over the world judging dogs! The cool little chap in the picture is Patsy's grandson Jack who knows a good motor when he sees one - At the top of his Christmas list is a Bowler Wildcat 5ltr off road racer!
Image: Richards Off-Road Lightweight
Richard's Lightweight - Being a true enthusiast Richard not only has the 90 pictured above but has this lightweight too. His intentions were to build it up for trialing until he sat in as a navigator at the Ripon comp. Now hes got the 'bug' and on a mission to transform it into some serious competition for Slim and myself! So which motor will be seen at an event first? This one or Mikes? Keep Watching
Mick's 90 - Another friend has found it too hard to fight off the over powering urge to rush out and buy a Land Rover! Mick bought this 90 and it was all of two minutes before he found himself reaching for the plastic. The 90 now supports a 2" suspension lift, up rated shockers, steering guard and a set of directional off-road tyres. Mick sees himself, as a bit of a Clint Eastwood only he prefers to saddle up with TDI horsepower when roaming the outback!

Mark now owns ENC 425T and it is under-going major surgery! The Range Rover has been treated to a 2" suspension lift, new shox, replacement body panels, a new exhaust replacement sills and rear cross member, a different interior, 3.9 injection system plus much more!!! This tired old girl is soon going to be given a new lease of life and ready to take on the world! Mark uses the Rangey every day for work and then off roading on weekends & he loves it.
Image:
Jon's Discovery - You can probably guess from the picture that this motor is owned by Jon Wilson (JMJ PHOTOGRAPHY)! Yes after meeting just over a year ago to book him for our wedding he has now got Land-Rover-itis and has succumb to buying a Solihull product! (I told you everyone that meets me ends up buying a Land Rover!). After being in the hands of Jon for less than a week, questions are already being asked as to what upgrades can be fitted and whats recommended!!!! He's now just hoping for a wedding up a mountain or through blizarding snow!
Image:
Blair's Disco 3 - Shown here working hard with less than 300miles on the clock! This Disco has to earn it's keep so there's no slacking having steady drives over hard ground. Blair not only works hard but play's hard too... Keep watching for pictures of this motor being pushed to it's limits (& beyond) on-road, off-road, no-road! This Land Rover is entering the new world & is being powered by Jaguar/Ford (What happed to the good old days?).
Image:
Alistair's V8 90 - Seen here taking to the skies, this 90 earns it's keep as a pedigree racer. Alistair is new to the world of 'OFF-ROAD' and has taken to it like a duck to water! Having never even been off-road before he bought this 90, jumped in at the deep end and pulled up to the start line of a NORC compsafari. He's not looking back now and is gaining idea's fast in order to become some serious competition for us all!!!
Image:
Steve's Tornado Racer - Although this motor did not roll off the production line at Solihull it is very much a Land Rover based machine! Currently running with a 2.25ltr turbo charged Rover engine, it goes like stink but will soon grow muscle when he installs a 4.6ltr V8 Roush Supercharged Mustang Engine!!!
