During the first run at Driffield Dick managed to roll the 90 on a sharp right hand corner. After getting the Land Rover back on its wheels he got it restarted and continued to finish the lap. Back in the pit area the wing was pulled out and tie wrapped together but after restarting found the engine not running right - Later investigations found 2 bend con rods where the engine had hydraulic locked with oil after the roll!

This cement mixer was seen after a night of frost near Pool-in-Wharfdale.

Another Roll by Dick - I had the pleasure of navigating at this event in Rochdale. We had caught a V8 special and were trying to get past when coming down a ravine we dropped of a ledge and the front nearside wheel hit a rock flipping the 90 into the air and back down on its side. After getting the Land Rover back on its wheels we found it had broken a steering track rod end which also needing fixing before we could move off the coarse.

The roll cage took the impact of the roll with only slight damage to the paint work and a broken mirror.

The rear tub was slightly bent but will easily be fixed.

This is what it looks like from inside a Land Rover that’s laid on its side in a riverbed! The lengths that Mike will go to in order to get some pictures for this website is extraordinary!!! Picture taken 1st May 2005 at Weardale in Yorkshire

Graham Potters Ibex again - Not content with rolling the motor into a stream he then wedged it into a ravine!

This crash/roll happened at a local Northern Off Road Club event (Round 5 of 2005 Championship), held at Broadbottom, near Hyde on 31st July 2005.
A slight lump on a fast straight caused the Land Rover to launch and land on it's front bumper, which then created the barrel roll!

Jon & Alistair ended up on their side at the Newstead Abbey event on 14th October 2007. After winding their way through a tight & twisty quarry section they got a final lump wrong & ended up playing dead for 5 minutes! Luckily there wasn’t much damage & they were back on all 4 wheels in no time!!!

Just 1 year Later (4th & 5th October) back at Newstead Abby Al & Rich had a big roll. The 1st run of the day and the first corner was were it went wrong! Al/Rich you cant turn a 180 right at 50mph in a top heavy Defender 90 on Mud!
