Simmonites Corporate Day Stag Do event
Off-road adventure with a difference! - Having to arrange a 'Stag Do' can be a difficult job so finding out about Simmonites Corporate days was a huge bonus. We had a party of 24 people and intended to make it a day to remember. Our day got under-way after meeting at Coniston Hall Hotel, nr Skipton, North Yorkshire. We started things of with a bacon sandwich and hot coffee before splitting up into 3 groups. Group 1 went off to the clay target shooting whilst the other two groups set about the Honda pilots and Quads...
Event 1 - Clay Target Shooting
Image: Shooting 1
Automatic traps triggered by remote control launched the clays from hidden shelters.
Image:
This particular area was set up to meet standards suitable for Olympic events and training.
Image:
The clays that Matt was shooting at here were rolled from a shelter across the ground behind stacked logs simulating a running Rabbit.
Event 2 - Honda Pilots
Image: Honda Pilot
After an hours shooting we moved on to the Honda Pilots. 400cc 90bhp off-road machines that were capable of 70mph!
Image:
We were given 4 practice laps before racing 2 laps against the clock around this tight and twisting course.
Image:
We had a 10 second penalty added for hitting the blue marker sticks. This kept the pressure on and your best driving skills were required in order to score a fast time.

Event 3 - Quad Trekking

Lining up ready for off...

The last of our days activities was the Quad trekking. We were taken in convoy around the Coniston estate before entering a field of Hills, Mud and Water!
Image: Quad
The Mud was deep but these excellent Bikes tyres dug hard to pull through.
Image:
That was until the Mud got deep enough to 'Belly' the bike!
Image:
Matt managed to get his bike stuck on several occasions requiring assistance with recovery.
Image:
Recovering the bike was almost as messy as driving it!
Image:
Back on hard ground Matt is soaked through with Muddy water.

At the end of the Day we all gathered round for prize giving before heading back to the Hotel for a well earned pint in front of a log fire and tales of how everyone enjoyed themselves!
I could recommend Simmonites corporate days for an Excellent Days fun and games to anyone. They were professional, friendly and could cater for everyones skills and abilities.
